Date: 2008-03-15 09:57 (UTC)From:I recall from an earlier footnote that you explained a bit about the types of paper used and so forth. In your research, have you read anything about these types of paper being required, or are they just preferred?
Ultimately I would think that the spell written on the Ofuda is the most important, and also the act of creating it (ie your mental state when you sit down to the calligraphy). Also, I would imagine that there might be very special paper, ink, and brushes used for strictly ceremonial purposes.
