For quite some time now, I played with the thought of obtaining a permanent account as an easily updated extension of my website. For Works-In-Progress, general infos, updates, and all the tiny things for which updating the full-fledged html-site is just a tad too tedious to be worth it. However, both - LJ's price tags and the recent events here - convinced me not to consider upgrading my LJ account for that.

solo____'s help, I now have a permanently padded cell at InsaneJournal (already decorated with fics). ;)
However, I won't stop using my spot here in the foreseeable future (if I don't get TOSsed, that is) and I'll also continue maintaining an account at greatestjournal as backup archive.
Fandom appears rather restless right now and I wonder if / where it will move in the end. So far, Insanejournal proved to be a welcoming (if quiet) spot (with a more recommendable TOS than Greatestjournal imho. [gah, I read way too many of those in the last half year!]).
We'll see where it all ends.
