Another frantic, unplanned writing session on my phone on the commute home (amazing what you can do with Word even on my old Note8 if you have to get something out of your head!) resulted in
current chapter word count: 15825 (shorting that part just doesn't work!)
scene currently written: receiving ch'i
scene completed? nope, BUT: it gained the plot-relevance allowing for its size in the overall arch of the Decagram! So, yay?
thread finally picked up: Sakura's origin (that's up front in chapter 01 of Family Matters!)
character going to fret about sacrilegious matrimony: Subaru
character shrugging that off: Seishiro (who, else?)

"No." Seishiro settled back against the headboard. "But our… un-impartiality created a lot of jing . And transmuting jing is part of my practice."
Subaru frowned. "There shouldn't be jing. We are not male and female."
"But the gods are," Seishiro said softly.
