Chapter 9 was interesting to work on. There were two issues my editor felt no properly connected with the plot and one spot that I found disagreeably complicated written. The result is that I took out one reference ("Owl"), expanded elaborately - but hopefully not excessively so - on Subaru realizing their mutual blindness, and restructured the train trip. Actually more changes than expected, but hopefully for the better of the plot.
