Test your vocab estimates the size of my total vocabulary to be 41,200 words!

for comparison:
Most Native English adult speakers who have taken the test fall in the range 20,000–35,000 words.
And for foreign learners of English, we've found that the most common vocabulary size is from 2,500–9,000 words.
And while I'm an adult, I'm not a native speaker.

This does not surprise me. I already knew that you write English better than 90% of the people I know - the main thing I've ever seen trip you up is idioms, and those things are tricky even for native speakers sometimes.

And it still surprises me, given that I spent a total of 4 weeks abroad and never did better than top third in class. :-)
