Date: 2010-09-22 09:28 (UTC)From:Nokoru refers to an event in their college years - a certain argument about lemons in dry martinis that has been referenced before. Basically, there are two main recipes for dry martinis, both of which can be served either with a slice of lemon on the rim, a piece of lemon (or lemon peel) in, or without any lemon at all. However, there's a long lasting argument, which variant is a _real_ dry martini (and which isn't). Given that the basic recipe is somewhere between 16 and 20 vol. per cent of alcohol content and there are 8 variants... *eg*
They might have found a solution, but they certainly weren't in a condition to remember it (and the next three days prevented them from ever repeating the experiment *eg*).
