akk: (Seishiro - Eyes in the Dark)
current chapter word count: 5254
less again because I decided against the shower (and the fan service) and for the Seishiro-Makoto talk and some Subaru contemplation time
resulting in better characterization and more focus on the plot than the butt.
continuing with Subaru-Michiko (one scene given, since working speed is closer to normal now)
character in for a tough talk: Makoto
character clearing the premises: Subaru
character actually drawing an ofuda: Ameru
character more professionally savvy now: Michiko
quote of the day: His pulse. Not Sado's.

totally unrelated side-note: my main non-keyboard input device (Wacom Graphire3 tablet) unexpectedly died on me Sunday, leaving me stranded with having to use a mouse after almost ten mouse-free years (oh, the horror, the HORROR!!! I only use an air mouse when watching movies, even touch pads are preferable to e-rodents on productivity comps for me) until the shinew one (in stylish silver with white light accents; why did you get only dark tablets when all laptops where silver, and now that all my laptops are shiny black (with red), I get a tablet in silver???) arrived this morning.
Multigestures are an esp. nice touch for everyday work (not necessary to grab the pen when just shuffling browser windows or scrolling) and the scribe handwriting recognition (not that useful, since I'm typing way faster than I scribble) is plain fun! Like the results of early automated translation programs... longer words it gets fine, but my crowsfeet seem to max out its abilities esp. at three letter words. FUN (fum, frum, firn, Son, Sun, Sim,...)! :D
Graphics / penwork is at the known high level, with the new tablet being about twice as large and double precision in pressure sensitivity than the old one. I'm still saving for an Intuos, but that was out of financial reach on such short notice and in the meantime, the Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch Medium covers my daily work needs to a T (and it looks good). Drool Tech approved. :D

To tell the truth, I just don't believe in homework, instead I believe in chaos, randomness and good/bad luck (even when selecting pieces of technology) :)

I will let you know, fortunately in my case the color doesn't matter. Fortunately - because I need it quick or my computer may die from all his constant whining.

Thank you! Well, it is definitely cheaper, but seems to be slower when it comes to data access. My old Toshiba's HDD is only 50GB, so now i need this portable drive badly.
