Name your 10 absolutely favorite couples (het/slash/canon/fanon) and ask people to see what trends they notice about your couples. Try to pick different fandoms.

Seishiro/Subaru (Tokyo Babylon/X-1999 - slash)
Gooseman/Niko (Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers - het)
Tatsumi/Tsuzuki (Yami no Matsuei - slash)
Chakotay/Janeway (StarTrek Voyager - het)
O'Neill/Carter (StarGate SG-1 - het)
Morgaine/Vanye (The Morgaine Quadrology - het, canon)
Darkness/Frost/Sholto (Merry Gentry series - slash; no idea how to split them into couples!)

These are the few that truly drew my attention to their dynamics.

I'm only familiar with 2 of the 7 pairings (S/S obviously, and I also totally shipped Doyle and Frost.. I forget what I thought of Sholto.. been awhile since I read any LKH) but! I see some similarities in dynamics when it comes to those two couples. The black/white contrast for one thing, and it's kind of funny now that I think about it but aren't Doyle and Seishiro a bit alike? Both assassins, both very tied to darkness, Doyle retains scars from serving his crazy queen, Seishiro retains scars from his mother who was probably nowhere near as fucked up as Andais but still.. unbalanced women are involved in both cases! Can't think of similarities between Frost and Subaru though, besides that they're both really angsty and pretty. I wish I remembered more about Doyle and Frost.. this will probably lead to rereading.

You know what is really funny, I saw that fanart of yours of Doyle long before I started reading your fanfiction, I think it just turned up in a google image search and I thought it was really cool, and then way later when I was reading your fic and went to your site I saw it there and it was like wow how ironic, the internet has led me to you twice!

Def worse fates than rereading that stuff, but I'm sure it won't help me with fishing my mind out of the gutter |D

I absolutely agree!!! Really, all that keeps me from permanent gutter mind is lingering values from my upbringing.
