on a related side-note: For Tree Talk 14 and some later bits and pieces, it was necessary to evolve some of the events taking place during Seishiro's high school time in a side story ("Mariko"), which will not appear in any Interregnum or flashback I can currently think of. I have yet to decide whether or not I can clean that Gedankenexperiment up to a point where I'm not totally embarrassing myself with it.

don't get excited. 14 still has a long way to go before I can haul it at my editor and hope to survive the reply. That its Tree Talk enforced creating a side-story didn't quite help with speeding things up.
