In brief: the memorial scene is finally coming along, albeit sloooowly.
As in: Seishiro's finally up that tree and commenting (not too benevolently) on the arriving guests and the ceremonial preps, though he approves of it being more Daoist than Buddhist (Hey, one has to take what advantage one gets!).
Karen and Aoki are there, as are Sorata and Arashi. Suoh is consiciously absent despite Nokoru doing a fine job as chief mourner, standing in because both, Kotori's remaining blood relative and the priest of her home shrine are her murderer (in person) and thus not suitable chief-mourner-material.
Nevertheless, the TSF appears in mourning-relative-white with green teashades(!) in place (make of the latter what you like; maybe your guess is even spot on :-) ) and Subaru's on his way to his role as replacement-priest.
So much, so well. Unfortunately, Kamui lacks description yet, because I'm kind of stuck of how I want to introduce the real TSF as character and in lieu of that, their interaction. And how and when Kakyo fulfills the deceased's last wish.
And I'm trying very hard not to consider rereading 10 volumes of X (and three artbooks) to make sure that (a) Sei met the Twin Star with the teashades in place, (b) what commenced at meeting with teashades was suitable Twin Starish, and (c) that design and coloring of the damn things was suitably unique!
For suffering through all this laments, here are two commentary snippets for those who read till the end:
And in case anybody wonders about Sei's obsession with penguins: Dr. Levick's 1912 study on the sexual behavior of penguins was deemed too shocking to be published in Victorian times!

"There was a history between those two, Seishiro decided. An attraction not yet acted upon, though. He watched how the windmaster held the folding chair for Kasumi. Aoki's wife was either very lenient or as adept at spotting subterfuge as her husband was at hiding attraction."
"Arisugawa and the Ise — now, 'girl' was probably not a fitting description for her any longer. Given how the monk practically hovered over her, Subaru's suspicion regarding her condition likely had been spot-on."
