current chapter word count: 2720 (of which 200 are of dubious quality)
scene actively written: 6 - Fuma
scene completed: no
overall impression: 6 is more Fuma-TS-ish than 1b. 1b might be deleted if content fits into this one.
characters who ought to stop going at it like bunnies in my head: Subaru, Seishiro (Go. Get a coffee instead! -- And one more word from you, Tree-san, and that barrel Agent Orange is no longer *optional*!)
quote of the day: He forced his hand away from Kamui's throat, running his knuckles caressingly over his cheek.

I second most of what you wrote there and I can see where LJ's actions are coming from business-wise, but what pissed me off already back in May 07 was, that they are inconclusive with their business model. If they run a business, they have to treat their users as customers, which are important business assets for any company out there, but I increasingly felt like beggar over there and not a customer; worse, a bugged beggar to be chased into the seedier parts of town.
I came to IJ in May mostly because I wanted to have a backup journal for my stories in case LJ TOSsed me and I was greeted with a reassuring post for the new clients in the news, a TOS I could understand and a site admin who not only answered comments but also announced problems the moment he became aware of them. I got a perm account at 30US$ because there were no paid accounts back then and I like the occasional poll - even if I seldom make use of them. I figured that if the site lasted another 18 months, it would be well-spent money. I'm so happy I did that. :)
...spotting the momentary Tweak comment at the top of this page: "A killer rabbit?" - Yes, for the time being I feel like I fit in here. :D
