chapter 19
These are the parts written during the most stressful time of my doctorate and -sadly- it shows. I caught several problems with discontinuity (for example: Susumu's sword absorbs spiritual power and gets embedded in the Sakura. Is it save for the Sakura to have it stuck in its trunk? Shouldn't its Sakurazukamori be concerned about that, instead of wasting text space mulling about his professionally irrelevant private life?) already and am not yet done with chapter 19.
On the plus side: the result is a lot closer to the story I wanted to tell from the beginning
On the minus side: its discontinuity! That's dead-out e.m.b.a.r.r.a.s.s.i.n.g!!! Period!
Unrelated: I've found myself tweeting with increasing frequency (and quotes) about my current reading endeavors. It's fun and actually increases my reading attention, because I'm involuntarily looking formind-fucking quotable lines.
