related side-note: I seriously contemplated to kill Kamui in the "final battle" of FM today. (I tell it frankly, so you can be sure that won't happen! Poor Kamui will face a bland, unspectacular ending in this, thus being the hero who rescues a major number of plot characters from needing severe counseling for an extended amount of time!)

Even though you said you weren't going to do it... does that mean you're still planning on some sort of "Final Day"? You already did a Final Day in 36 Degrees, which led to the events in FM. Does the balance created by summoning the Dao get upset somehow? Omg I think this is the most evil teaser post you've written yet!

Does FM have a conclusive / decisive event to come? yes.
Will said event be conclusive / decisive regarding the Final Battle of X? no.
Why not? I'm in love with the "Great Failure of 1999" and the Dao teaching Humanity a lesson of godly proportions. ;)
