Very science loaded reading material there - with the quintessence that yes, it is imaginable, and no, in terms of likelihood and probability we'd practically need karmic / divine intervention for it to happen at all (let alone twice or three times) in a family line. And actually, gender is not the primary issue there. It's actually one of the results. In causal relation, it's one step down the line. ;)
