Firstly, I've got an Aunt in the US (about 60-years-old, widowed, and fond of cats and kitchens).
Secondly, said Aunt got herself a shiny new kitchen (and adopted a cute li'l kitten recently), both of which was talked about extensively on the phone and she promised to send pictures.
Thirdly, she did.
Now my grandma, strapping 92 years old, got a letter from the local customs office that she is to provide the bill for the items (described as "photos") with a clear description of the content (the photos) in German language (including a duplicate for the files) and a reminder that also items bought on ebay or similar were to be handled properly by customs.
Which means basically,
a) that I have to take a day off work to go to the customs office with my grandma (and our family registry) and
b) explain Mr. [expletive deleted for not-political-but-probably-financial correctness] Customs that English photos in German are Fotos (or Photos), that my Aunt is really my Aunt and that we didn't buy my Aunt's snapshots of her brand new kitchen (installed firmly in a house in Nevada) and her kitten on ebay, so that we can't provide a bill for said snapshots because they weren't bought in the first place.
And if Mr. [expletive deleted for not-political-but-probably-financial correctness] Customs doesn't believe me or granny, then the whole photos get hauled back to the US...
No comment.
And I need an icon expressing equally contempt and utter disbelief...
