akk: Galaxy Rangers badge (GR - Badge)
Despite various obstacles, like porcelain-god-worshiping relatives, this weekend turned out to be rather productive with respect to CS3:

The rescued and condensed dreamscene is done, safe a minor transition of maybe one or two sentences at the beginning. Having been 14 pages originally, it's now down to a whopping 2 pages with great merits for characterization and plot.

The conclusion of the chapter afterwards is done in a quarter page and ties flawlessly to the old beginning of CS4, so I'm finally back at the original plot!

Only Zach and Doc's spy hunt is still fragmentary. I have some very nice snippets - including one at (an afterwards sorely soiled) base laundry, but it's still not a complete tale there.
And at some point somebody actually has to sit down and review Masterson's work for the readers. Preferably, without boring them (and the plot) to death. Goose, you better get going in that regard (or I'll upgrade that nightmare!).

Anyway, it looks as if CS3 will be done next weekend, marking 50% + of CS being completed (likely more, considering the amount of stuff I'm regularly deleting in it).

"Aside from your constant yawning?" Ayse returned with a smile. "I'm quite sure the crystals of Here-after aren't 'hexapodous'. Or do they look like purple creepy-crawlies hopping onto peoples' chest to you?"
"Creepy-craw—" Niko stopped. "Hexagonal," she sighed, defeated. "I'm sorry. I—" She froze. "Say that again."
"What?" Ayse blinked. "The creepy-crawlies?"

[personal profile] elbales, there might be a file coming to you next weekend or so. :)
