A ton of small things stalled writing to a hold the last week. The two most important things were that my new paper was subjected to a major revision (may it be accepted for publication now) and I was reminded that I have to replace most of my "winter equipment" this year (after last year's long snow period put the old stuff to the test), resulting in the shopping list below. I decided to work through it before other people started shopping for winter stuff around here.
At least, my black leather coat, the deep winter jacket, the balaclava, and the pants are still fine...
Back to writing: hopefully tomorrow. Tonight will be spent on watching "Sungkyunkwan Scandal ep 17" (this time with subtitles)! :D
- elk skin boots with 3cm natural latex soles. (The things cost 1/3 of my monthly salary, but I wore the last pair for 16 years straight without any hassles (and I have sensitive feet).) -- CHECK!
- half shoes with natural latex soles. I want these soles under my feet even when I don't need boots yet. -- Ordered. May they fit. Pretty please.
- rainproof leather sneakers in "office accepted style". -- Ordered. Ditto.
- fitting pair of fleece-lined leather gloves (no wool whatsoever!). Found today (and I certainly didn't expect that, given that it's been 15 years since I had gloves that weren't too wide with too short fingers). However, I better not tell my mother about the price tag attached to the deer skin pair I fell in love with at first try-on. ;) -- CHECK! Yay!
