current chapter word count: 6666
scene worked on today: Granny Talk 2
scene completed? no (far from it, actually)
because Subaru so wants to yell at his grandmother right now
because Dao & Marriage
research of the day: traditional Japanese breakfast, Kyoto-style
quote of the day: "Which in itself tells a lot about *you*, doesn't it?"
related side-note: this is probably the most difficult chapter I have to write with respect to characterization. The development in it depends entirely on talk, perceived intentions, actions, reactions and meanings, which gives virtually no leeway characterwise. I'm really looking forward to get this chapter done and have some scene- and event-driven plot in Interregnum-6 and chapter 18. If I don't find *the* perfect wording / line / sentence / comment / facial expression in those, I can at least try to circumvent the issue by telling it from a different perspective (or a more passive position)!
unrelated side-note: Things (beside work & daily life) that are detrimental to fast TBX writing:
The Dao (and a certain shrub) will have my head otherwise...

unrelated side-note: Things (beside work & daily life) that are detrimental to fast TBX writing:
- delving into a characterwise completely incompatible (and quite embarrassingly drool-worthy) Fantasy romance novel (C.L. Wilson's "Tairen Soul" series)
- getting dragged back into the Leijiverse with Captain Harlock & Sweetie Zero!
- rediscovering the beloved (and never finished) historical science fiction novels about in a WW-II China/Japan setting you created, that are still begging to be completed...
- BlockOut (it's addictive!)
The Dao (and a certain shrub) will have my head otherwise...
