GR fanfic: To Be Remembered

In 2003, Europe suffered a heatwave that in the end killed more than 30.000 people. I wrote a lot during those weeks to cope with temperatures soaring regularly above 35°C and the fear, though I cleaned up and posted only one of those stories ("Thirst" (rated R); you can find it here if you like). By the end of the heat, I was too ill to care for my writing and after I recovered I couldn't bring myself to touch those feelings again.
But today is the third day in a row that temperatures reached over 30°C here. The nights are continuously getting warmer, bringing back memories of weeks without relieve -- and of this ficlet.
This is probably not a good fanfic. It's a cope-fic. I decided to post it anyway.
