reason for that: much improved cop-scene (more drama, more spiritual gore, and a tough Subaru (who still makes a slip that hazards house safety))

character who'll be troubled about preferring Seishiro's modus operandi to the alternative: Subaru

See it's quotes like these that drive me over the edge! It sounds too cool for me not to have the entire chapter to read and understand what lead to such fantastic sarcasm. (Especially if Subaru came back with that retort and it was Seishirou speaking in QOTD #1) Drives me crazy not to know!

No it does not help. Who would call Subaru ruthless? Not at all how I imagined this scene plays out based upon these two lines. And see what kind of OC madness you cause with these little quotes? Subaru is the one speaking in QOTD #1? AAAAHHH...

Simple: somebody who knows his power, but doesn't know him well now; who does compare the adult he's become with the accommodating child he'd been at 16/17 most of the time. And no, QOTD #2 is not an OC. Hint: there's a tiny crossover with the OVAs in this one. :)

Oy, sorry but the OC stands for Obsessive Compulsive Madness rather than OC as in Out of Character. Forget and mix my two loves of fanfiction and psychology when they probably should not be, but how can I resist? You rarely write Subaru or Seishirou that seems out of character to me so that thought had not entered my mind. However, it is nice to hear that someone is thinking of Subaru as a powerful, ruthless individual and I for one cannot wait to read how that happened :)

Actually, OC stands for "Original Character" as in, one made up by the author rather than being a canon one; Out of Character would be "OOC" in fandom terminology.
And I fear I know next to nothing about psychology - if not for the layman glimpses of aggressive/submissive I researched to get an idea about Subaru's twisted pre-Final Battle sex life.

I think nobody could ignore that he is a powerful onmyoji, and compared to his year of the bet-self, he's certainly become tougher already in X (and definitely where we are now in this fic)! :)
