Finally got around, threw out the money --
-- and got myself a brandnew, 3000:1 black background widescreen TFT for graphics work!
Two-and-a-half years of graphic art abstinence because of an abysmal laptop display are officially ended as of now! [insert maniacally hysteric laughter about graphical art, TFTs and two-monitor systems with attached pen tablets here]!
