Warnings: "Business as Usual" as a whole is rated R for violence, (organized) crime, occultism, sexual situations, alternative lifestyles, and a vocal tree having issues. Single chapters may be less restricted.

As a direct sequel it may not make sense unless you know the previous parts of the Decagram, most notably "36°" and "Family Matters". You can find all stories of the Decagram at the Archive of our Own and on my homepage.

My stories are based solely on the German translation of the Clamp manga books, therefore there might be differences in names and details from the English or Japanese editions.

Yesterday's 2000 words bathroom scene survived today's "edit on the train"-session virtually unscratched (which means it's very likely sound text!) and gained another 300 words of transition to the actually memorial service scene, which will be told from Seishiro's pov...

...and yes, I'm so going to enjoy being back in his head for a change! I don't have the details yet, but I consider it highly likely that Seishiro won't dwell on the dear deceased's fate overly long! ;)

So what remains to be done?

Mostly chapter 20 with the memorial service and the Kamui confrontation, and the epilogue, consisting of Omi's report, architect's horror, Kamui's visit & Nokoru's letter, which is mostly written and only requires a bit of polishing and a few fillers.

But I can't promise anything regarding how long it's going to take. It may be fast, it may be excruciatingly slow. There are just too many plot threads to weave as to risk haste now.

Oh, and [personal profile] primera found a video translation of Subaru's character file on Youtube. :)

Somebody translated Seishiro's X-character file on youtube. I admit the previous text on screen with mp3 playing wasn't half as effective for me. I can't judge the quality of the translation, but seeing the text in synch with the spoken words helps a lot with getting the inflection & mood in the words. :)

Livejournal's longlasting TBX fan community [livejournal.com profile] x1999 has just been deleted. The community was very quiet these last months, but I still feel like a vital part of TBX fan life just died.

[livejournal.com profile] x1999 was one of the first three communities I joined when getting into the fandom. I'm sad to see it gone.

Bento boxes, invented in Edo times, hold many morsels of different tastes in a decorative arrangement. In order to keep these morsels - and therefore their tastes - apart, a variety of separating materials is used. These days, most often green plastic strips cut to look like grass are used for that. However, the traditional use of certain leaves, cut to release the plant's own microbicides, are often better for keeping the food separated and fresh. The type of leaves traditionally used differ from area to area. With Aspidistra elatior (a member of the lily family) being used in Kansai (including Kyoto) and sasanoha (leaves of bamboo grass) being used in Edo (Tokyo).

If you followed my writings once in a while, you probably noticed that I'm one of one those entirely nitpicking persons who like to have their facts straight before starting to play with them. In this context, the conundrum of the Sumeragi Twins - specifically Subaru and Hokuto - was the most prominent detail left in limbo for quite a long time.

And now I contemplate Subaru with mustache stubble...
